The Best of 2019
For the last six months of 2019, I went around photographing as many artists and bands that would let me. The following four artists were some of my favourites and artists that I hope to work with again in the future!

Highlighted Artists
Liverpool has been my favourite city to photograph in as their music scene is truly one of the best and possesses some incredibly underrated artists. One of the first people I photographed for was an Ormskirk/Liverpool based artist called Charity Shop Pop. Making bedroom pop in his room, Charity is certainly making a name for himself with nearly a thousand monthly listeners on Spotify! His soft 80s influenced music is certainly a hit and with the vintage aesthetic he's going for, I really tried to capture that feel in the photos with my own twist.
The Leeds music scene is certainly an interesting one with bands such as The Astrids really starting making a name for themselves. The neo-psychedelic group released their debut EP, 'Arcadian Sound', on Halloween this year. Definitely one of my favourites to photograph for, they're a lovely group of laid back lads with a true talent and passion for the music that they're making. The Astrids will be headlining The Underground in Bradford on 17th January 2020 so go and give them your support if you can!
Another stand out artist from the Liverpool music scene is Paddy Clarke and the Fancy Rats. Formed in 2017, the band are punk and folk inspired. With the release of their single 'You Think Your Sex Life Is Tough Try Being A Slug', I truly hope to see them climb up in their music scene over the coming year. Rainbow eye shadow, pink flowered jacket and gold guitar, Paddy was truly the stand out artist of the night and definitely not one to be forgotten.
The final artist that springs to mind as a highlight of the year are jazz rock artist 'JJ Moon'. They're based in Northampton/Milton Keynes and is the stage name for Jamie Holman. Although only formed about 10 months ago, JJ Moon has been played on BBC introducing Northampton with their song 'Dreaming'. Definitely one to watch on the MK/Northampton music scene.
