Gigs of Late June and July In June, I began my journey in becoming a live music photographer. Over the course of late June and July, I photographed at 4 different gigs and met over 30 individual musicians. Leeds, Liverpool, Saltaire and Milton Keynes were the cities that the gigs took place in and were each very enjoyable in their own way. Wharf Chambers - 29/06/19 Leeds music collective, Gxrls Do That Too, hosted a show at the Wharf Chambers in late June. The line up included local artists, Strelka and The Palarva, and Scunthorpe based headline act, FINNO. This was my second show photographing and it was exciting to be able to catch the feeling that each act brought to the stage. About Me Hi! I am Sapphire Anastasia, writing under the name Polaroid Child. This is the first post I'm making on this blog just to let anyone who reads know what they're getting themselves into. Primarily, my aim is to make this about music and gig photography. Getting interviews with small bands, photographing their gigs and maybe getting exclusives on upcoming music. However, don't be surprised if there's the odd political piece or article on an ethical issue that hot in the media. Here's a bit about me. I'm 17 year old aspiring journalist and aspiring radio presenter, living in North Lincolnshire. Travelling around the country meeting new people, taking photo's and attending as many gigs as I can are the things that I love to do. Quite recently, I've taken up knitting and embroidery to try and develop skills in other creative areas.
